Warm, difficult day. Access to water was better than thought, but there were only really 5 accessible pegs across the stretch. One of which needed a little gardening and but for a 3 metre landing net, would've proved an impossible place to bring them in. Bank and vegetation were dry, a completely different proposition on wet day, and not for the faint hearted.
That said, there were some very interesting stretches here, and the potential for some large fish. Water was low and clear throughout. Plenty of Ranunculus about, which was good to see. Visible fish included Chub (standard Wye fare) and some very big Perch, one of which was easily a 4lb fish.
Pellet, meat and boilie rewarded, of which meat seemed to be most successful. Nothing consistent. Think fish here may have been easily spooked. Good fight from all Chub. Largest of which was about 5 and a half, Perch was about half a pound. Pike around later on. Seemingly rather large.

Extremely hot day and the fishing was hard going. Managed a chub in the morning and one early evening. Fished all the swims on the left bank and a couple on the right, but the fish were elusive today. Used feeder and pellets.

Tough conditions. Almost too hot to fish. Fished in the wooded section. Didn't fish late when I suspect there would be a better chance of them feeding.
Not too happy about someone trying to fish right opposite us. Disgraceful behaviour !!
Lots of boaters paddle boarders etc having lots of fun.

Nightmare to start the day as we were thrown off the beat by a woman stating that they had to set up for a wedding for 250 guests and the designated parking area for anglers was not convenient for the land owner with large vehicles turning up.
We had already got all our tackle to the river and set up so this was yet another delay to our fishing holiday. We don't know the area and we were lucky enough to see the 2 anglers leaving beat 2 at the nearby lay-by and so we fished there for the remainder of the day (41/2 hours as it was 32 degrees. Again hot conditions and only 1 chub and a couple of roach caught. We aimed to return to the same beat the next day early as we were going home in the afternoon.
