Early morning session 3 barbel in the 4-6lb range and 4chub around the 3lb mark, there seems to be a lot of silkweed covering the river bed lately unable to keep bait in water more than 5 minutes without the feeder and hook link being covered.I would have stayed longer but the canoes were a nightmare when a paddle boarder fell off in my swim I called it a day, groundbait and pellet feeder and meat on hook caught all fish the other was an eel.

Ideal fishing conditions, even the wind was blowing upstream, which never happens. In the afternoon there was a huge hatch of small black flies, and the fish were responding. Missed loads of takes but did manage four nice sized trout, plus lost one much better fish when my leader knot failed.

Beat:Caradoc
Fishing:Coarse
No. of Anglers:2
Complete Blank, the river was as low as I've ever seen it at this beat and there's green blanket weed everywhere. Impossible to fish as feeder and bait were covered in weed on every cast. Lovely beat but desperately needs a metre of water.
