First time on this beat and a dry day at last. River still quite high but fishable. Plenty of fly life and a few fish rising. A nice 7” WBT netted and safely returned. One fish lost and another missed. The barbed wire and access make it a bit of a challenge but an enjoyable afternoon in beautiful countryside.

1 Trout

High river with lots of colour, no luck with nymph. Some fish rising for unknown black flies even with the colour. Took 4 small trout on black parachute. This river is almost impossible and hard to fish without chest waders. Hard wading due to levels and flow. Lovely area.

River well up and very coloured. Managed to catch a few in the margins. Mayfly and nymph.

2 Trout, 3 Chub

11 trout from 8 inches to2lb. 9 on French leader fish were hard on the deck in the afternoon they half heartedly came up and had two on spider's. If all fish were landed would have been closer to twenty. Great day. Dinas rarely disappoints.

Very clear water and quite low considering recent heavy rain. Tried various techniques for 6 hours, but not a sign of a fish. The most promising looking bit where the small river joins towards the top of the beat is not included for some reason.

What’s difference a day makes! Not a single trout compared to yesterday, water levels receding and slightly easier to get out into the river

Very still and quiet evening, little wind and little sign of fishy activity. 2 nice plump healthy trout and 1 lost better jumpy one.

High water but dropped a fair bit throughout the day. Visiting anglers managed to catch 2 trout, one on spiders and the other on the dry when a few fish we seen rising. Lovely place to spend a day.
