Although a bright and very warm day there was a very strong Southerly wind blowing the length of the reservoir with big waves and ‘white horses’.This was consistent all day. On the West Bank this resulted in silt in suspension in the water at least 20 yards out from the bank for the entire length of the bank.On the northern section of the east bank the silt in the water was only marginally narrower. Nothing showing - no touches with either floating and sinking line with long casts out into clear water. Nil return.

1 barbel on the float on meat. Had another huge barbel on the float that was fighting like crazy, but unfortunately we lost him. This was all in the middle of the day, fishing the float. Not much action on the feeder in the evenings.

One 12 pound common and one lost of probably similar size, both from the margins near the big oak tree. A beautifully remote venue. Saw an absolute monster crashing over by the far bank, a mirror of at least 20lb.
