River in flood and just fishable in only a few swims. Both fish fell to legered luncheon meet in same swim during a one hour period . Otherwise biteless and we eventually retired to pub to escape increasing hostile wind.

River up about 1.5m when I arrived and rose a further metre during the day and turned more and more brown with lots of tree debris coming through. Roamed around to find two barbel, both caught on pellets. Only a couple of swims fishable by the time I left. Excellent way to finish the season.

Lovely stretch of the river Wye. Fishing was hard, lots of snags in the water lots of tackle lossed. But that said had 3 lovely Perch easy all over 2.5 pounds. Will return later in the year.
