Three small trout through the day, and one nice one of about 1¼lbs next to the run at the very head of a pool early on, before the gusty wind got up. All on downstream nymph. I was hoping to try a dry fly, but saw no rises to speak of.

Shocked how low the river was ,plenty of surface action lower part of beat. Best fish just over 2 lbs.lot of small fish.
Busy around the house, dogs in river,children throwing stones ect.

Strong wind and squally showers when I started around 10.30. Fished the far side into the wind in the morning and caught close in on small Bibio. Fished in the lee of the hill in the afternoon with a few rising fish. tried a dry daddy long legs and had a few splashy rises but none stuck. Finished the day with a very small black emerging buzzer and caught a handful on that.
Over a dozen trout most around 10 inches.
