River still high and pushing through poured with rain in the afternoon which killed the fishing. Unable to get to the bottom swims as the bank has been washed away with the flood water, was dangerous before impossible now.

3 Barbel, 8 Chub

Caught one Salmon @ 10lb fishing a small barbless tungsten nymph in a deep hole, fish of a lifetime and made the day!! Lovely water full of spooky trout!

Because of the rainy week before, river Usk was still high and with strong flow.
We had some bites but couldn't land any fish – but we will be back!

River still up and well coloured but dropping throughout the day. The fish came in patches throughout the day, most notably early morning and late afternoon. We expected the usual flurry of activity around dusk but this failed to materialise. Otter seen at the upper end of the beat.

13 Barbel, 9 Chub

As before fished early and late. In the am fished the gutters above hellrig, Hellrig itself and then the house pool. There are fish there with a fish about 18lb showing a lot. In the evening tried the bridge pool and on the dusk back to the house pool to try for the showing fish. No luck at all.

first trip to this stretch and found the swims difficult to access.

River up but looked good so a little disappointed with only 1 x barbel between us.

river still a bit high, but in excellent conditions. Fished from 9,30 till to 2 pm, and landed 3 graylings. Fished with French nymph technique in the deepest water.

3 Grayling

Fished the morning in the upper most swim, had 4 barbel and loads of chub. Then moved down to the Hut swim and had a few more of each, excellent day's fishing.
