The river had changed a bit since I was last here. No monsters today but good numbers of grayling to about a pound and trout to one and a quarter. All but one came to dries with some fish in surprisingly shallow water. Another enjoyable day on a great beat.

Cold start, then a sunny and warm day. River in good condition, still up a bit and good flow.
During the day fished both upstream of the wood and for a few hours ventured over the hill to fish downstream. Returned above the wood in mid afternoon to fish at the top of the beat just d/stream of the bend. Both barbel were caught from here in the last couple of hours. The chub came from all areas fished throughout the day best was 4lb.
Fished ledgered pellet or small 12mm boils with pellets in a pva bag.
2 Barbel, 7 Chub
