Water level low . Water temperature high Sky overcast.
Lots of wildlife but less insects than expected.
Pike/Perch feeding on Fry.
Too early for Barbel having recently spawned.
Caught 8 chub biggest 3.75 lbs.
Mix of pellets and meat. Tried bread and Corn.

Conditions good after some recent rain and overcast on the day. Fished meat and feeder. Mainly small chub with a couple around 4 IBS. Other was an Eel. Left at 3pm so not the best time of the day to catch Barbel. Some fish showed signs of spawning.

Our favorite stretch. At least it was before removing most of the bankside trees. Preferred swims ruined. Managed two good Barbel of 9lbs and 8lbs. Improved parking next to river a great improvement.

Fished pontygwaith bridge down to stone bridge in Quakers yard, using worm nothing caught.

Hard day fishing 10 chub between us again no barbel

Static bait, mainly luncheon meat, roving tactics. All gosh from bottom of beat where efforts were focused.

Conditions summer low, bit of colour (vis ~3-4ft). Stable all day.
