A fantastic days fishing in wonderful surroundings. We caught 12 barbel up to 9Ib all on pellet hookbaits from various swims throughout the stretch. The river level was raising throughout the day and certainly seemed to encourage to fish to feed.
This is a wonderful stretch of the Wye ... thanks W&U

A great days fishing in lovely surroundings. A 7Ib 6oz barbel, large chub and an eel all caught of pellet hookbaits. The river level was raising throughout the day and moving swims in the afternoon resulted in catching the fish. This is a wonderful stretch of the Wye ... thanks W&U

Booked for myself and a friend for 4 days. Was wonderful to have the stretch to ourselves and get to know it.
She gave us a few fish and some amazing scenery.
Loved it.

Despite what felt like excellent conditions we failed to connect with a salmon. River rose and fell in small waves during the day bringing leaves and a little more colour. Several fish seen running through.

Second time for both of us as 'beginner 'grayling fishermen, although reasonably experienced trout/sea.Had a session last October with a guide.Lovely day out, despite showers, but no fish!Couldn't fish the top run very well as rising river and too risky to cross. We put it down to rain, rising water, probably lack of ability to get the nymph down far enough or downright incompetance! Great to be on the river again.Bull in field with ladies and calves were semi- interested, but not a problem.

River at 0.7m and coloured but falling. Fished Rock Pool from left bank and saw one fish running. Caught 2 trout. Benefit of hindsight suggests right bank is probably best throughout this beat. Stayed at Glanusk Farm approx 1 mile up river from Chainbridge which was excellent.

River falling nicely but wildly windy conditions. White horses on the river, like fishing the Severn Bore!
