Lovely beat with some nice fly water. Some slow water in some pools that really needs fly to be stripped through. Wading was fairly easy for most accessible pools although got deep in areas which meant you had to back up to get out. Although there was accessible paths / steps down to water I don't think there was enough of these as large sections of river were inaccessible. Would have been nice to have pool name marker posts to help anglers know where they are fishing. Didn't see or touch a salmon all day but this didn't spoil the experience. Sun was blazing down and made for lovely day outdoors. A large amount of canoes on the water which disrupted things a little but they were courteous and moved through quickly.
I did loose a royal blue morrell foam fly box with double and aluminium tubes in. Lost around the Maddox pool. If anyone finds this I'd be very grateful if they could contact the foundation and arrange its return. Postage and small reward will be paid. Back on Goodrich next month hoping for change of luck and weather.

What a beautiful spot. Sunny with occasional clouds. Mild, no wind.
Long stretch of river with lots of interesting sections. Access involved a bit of scrambling in places, but was quite manageable.
As to the fishing... very little luck - 1 grayling taken on a hares ear in a very fast running section towards the lower end of the beat. Not sure where the trout were, we couldn't find them to see at all, and in spite of numerous hatches nothing seen rising... back to fishing school for us... but I would definitely return to this beat with renewed determination next time.

Perfect instructions for finding the beat and an easy beat to walk and sight fish. A few slippery spots down on the bottom half of the beat and some deep spots. Fabulous wading on the top half.

Lovely water and plenty of trout but very spooky. Rising to dries mid day with olive uprights and brook duns hatching off.
A great day and I hope to return. Many thanks.

Low river and quite overgrown in places. Incredible smell of wild garlic and a lovely viewing of a Barn Owl returning to feed chicks in their nest. Spotted one trout darting in the water but very skittish. Lovely setting.

1 pull but no fish. Water dropping all day. A few trout rising below bridge. The banks do need some maintenance to improve access.

Fantastic looking place. Wading could be a bit precarious at times. Saw a good number of March Browns and LDOs hatching but very few fish seen and none caught. Pleasant day cut short by some very unwelcome kayakers who knew very well that they were not supposed to be there.
