This turned out to be a beautiful spring day after an initial frosty start. River was a little low but running strong and clear. All fish were taken on nymphs from the faster waters with nothing showing on the surface. Managed nine wbt between 8" and 12" and three grayling, the best of which was a 13" hen found lurking behind a boulder. A very pleasing start to the season on a beautiful beat.

Fished mainly in the lower field section using pellet feeder with mini boilies, fish came early morning with a break in activity between 11 & 3 with action resuming from then on. Had a break from the feeder to wobble deadbaits for a hour or so resulting in one pike just below double figures.
Yet another really enjoyable day on the Wye.

River was high but a good colour. However, fish were either not feeding or hard to find. Tried several swims and returned to first choice swim and caught at dusk.
