Cool & breezy - one rod fished only for about an hour. Little surface activity. 2 BT caught on emergers.

River on spate I couldn't fish , water rising faster and it was getting really dangerous stay on the river

Excellent day - in the end. Got only one fish up to 5pm, then from about 7pm for 2 hours there was a pretty consistent hatch, and rise, to medium olives. Got fish of 15, 16, 18 (2.5lbs) and 20 (3lbs) inches on a medium upwing thing like a Hendrickson. It was gratifying to get two big fish, which went like a rocket, after being broken in the same place by two, two weeks ago. This time I was ready, and had increased the tippet from 6x to 5x.

Very bright day with no activity, but lovely to be on this stetch of the Wye. Sadly only had time to fish the lower sections, so will be back to have another go and will fish the upper section as well!
