Late afternoon spent here with lots of fish rising, difficult to work out what they were taking. Managed to temp a few with mayfly. 3 fish caught, largest around 1lb.

Quite a chilly day with a brisk wind seemed to put the fish down with very few fish rising despite a reasonable amount of flylife on the water.
Had 3 on a flash ptn up to 14" and lost a few others.
Found this beat quite challenging compared to others I've fished on the usk but very enjoyable all the same.
As noted in the write up the wading is a bit hairy in parts! Caution required.

Good day but a little cold. Had a few takes but no fish today.

Haven’t been here for 10 years. Much better beat than I remembered but a blank, fish not interested. Cold with a stiff down stream breeze

Dire. Catastrophic bank erosion, the river is completely inaccessible along the entire length of the beat. Fallen trees and soft mud on the top third make access impossible. The lower two thirds are only accessible if you have a 15’ ladder in your rucksack.

Cold and windy. Reluctant fish. The 1 trout was caught on a pheasant tail nymph. Fish returned.
