River looks great although lots of indications from debris from the falling leaves etc.

Fancy weather and river height. Access all areas. Lower section particularly good, especially the run.

Perfect cpnditions. Plenty of interest from fish

Rock pool fished well.
Plenty of water to explore next time, especially lower section.
Banks in great condition.

3 Trout, 4 Grayling

Overcast day, about 12 degrees, river low but a little colour. Fish taken on pellet with groundbait feeder / lead plus pva bag. Excellent day with action throughout, chub to 5lb, barbel to about 8lb and hook pulls for two much bigger fish. Crushing!
Thanks to Stefan for some pointers, really helpful and knows the river inside out. The work he has done to maintain and make this beat fishable is amazing.
Don't be put off by some of the comments. There are loads of swims to fish from . You have to tread carefully in some but this is the UK, riverbanks are grassy, muddy and it gets wet. This is a stunning stretch of the Wye.

8 Barbel, 16 Chub

Looking at the weather forecast we suspected a nice day … and so it came to pass . Prolonged periods of sunshine showed the river at its best … it is low, but the bed is cleaner than it has been all season.

A few fish were rising and prepared to come to a fly … as were many others who were not seen rising! 24 grayling to hand , mostly 7-9 inchers but a few up to 15 inches. All on dries - we both fished the same fly all day, no need to change. Wonderful fishing.

The wildlife was good too …. Buzzards kites egret heron and deer seen. That’s it for us now for this year, looking at the forecast for next week high water will return, hopefully to get the salmon and trout safely upstream. Thanks for another great seasons fishing.
