Arrived about midday to find the river in fine condition. Trout throughout the beat but some decent sized grayling in amongst them, biggest around 17ins.

Slow today and didn’t manage to locate any shoaling Grayling. River still a bit too high to target them in their usual haunts though. Two nice fish of 15” and 16”, the rest small. Pink and purple grayling bugs took most of them.
I tried to upright the Llanstephan gauge as it had presumably taken a direct hit from a tree during the recent spates. Only a little improvement unfortunately and it will need to be reset in due course.

Beautiful place to fish but sadly I did not have long. Lots of fish rising to areas with isolated hatches but these were a bit far for my travel rod. Looking forward to returning in the warmer weather.

First time here, don't know why I've ignored it before.
Easy parking and a nice walk to the river.
With the bridge out only the left bank is accessible, but more than enough water to go at for 4 or 5 hours.
20 grayling, largest about 12 inches.
20plus o.o.s. trout largest about 22 inches, plenty of good sized ones too.

First of all I would like to thank the lovely Rachel for doing such a wonderful job on the upkeep of the fishery it really is a very nice place to be. What I thought were perfect fishing conditions ie dull cloudy no rain or wind , the fish had different views! I struggled to find or catch tem anywhere. The bottom of the beat is usually a good bet but it was running very slow so it was difficult to fish the way I wanted . Caught a couple in the pool ( 1 on dry ) but this is usually full of fish so I probably spent more time here than I should have done! Anyway it was hard work but fun that's the main thing. Grayling to 13" trout to 10"

I was met with leaden skies and a mild day with the river running clear.
I parked up in one swim for the day and explored various parts of that swim.
All fish were take. On GB feeder with pellet and meat in the hook. Barbel was 5.9 and two best chub 4.5 and 4.2. Lost a barbel mid afternoon.

Dry and overcast conditions. River running fairly clear and low for the time of year. Tried a bit of piking and lost one low double at the net first thing but no other takes.
Chub we’re feeding well on a mixture of baits but mainly maggot feeder and trotted meat. Had a couple over 4lb but most 2-3lb. We lost one Barbel each, one on the float and one on the feeder to hook pulls but they were reluctant feeders today.
Had a bonus Sea Trout trotting. A really nice day again on this beautiful beat.
