A 2lb 4oz chub and a 2lb 4oz barbel is all we caught. River very low and very clear. If you fish here, stay at The Greenman in Fownhope. The rooms are top quality and the food is exquisite - easily the best in Herefordshire!

What a change in weather conditions from the previous few weeks. Greeted by temperatures of 6c and 14c during the day meant that the barbel were not feeding as well as perhaps they should have.
The river had dropped 6 inches from Sunday. Clients caught throughout the day and had a great time. Plenty of canoes, however it doesn't make any difference or stop fish from feeding. A great day again on this beat.

My son and I caught 3 chub and 1 eel. The river is still very low and there were really only 2 fishable swims. Nice stretch of river but very short.

River at normal summer levels with just a hint of colour. All fish taken on pellet and feeder. The 9 barbel ranged from 2lb to 7lb and the chub was 5lb 9oz but was a really long fish which could go much bigger in the winter.
Lovely stretch but quite snaggy and lost another 6 fish and a similar number of feeders. Had a fantastic 2 days.
