Very tough day with the heat and low river level. Managed 1 chub each. Walked the entire beat and couldn't have tried any harder. Fished another beat 2 days later and had a much better day following a small amount of rainfall. It really does make a huge difference. Will be booking short notice in future to ensure we find more favourable conditions. We have started fishing the Wye only this season, and it's by far my favorite river. Such beautiful settings and in the main, exceptional fishing. Many thanks to the Foundation for making it possible.

Very difficult day, river exceptionally low and clear. Fishing downstream was just about impossible so I restricted myself to the top of the beat and even there bank access was difficult. I fished in two shifts. Morning 7am - 11am nothing, then back at 3pm - 9pm where I managed to lose one but catch 2 barbel, 7lb and 9lb and a chub of 3lb. Fish took along time to recover before release and were obviously suffering from low oxygen in the water. The river needs rain and a good flush through.

River low and clear. Really needs some rain, however had a really good day. Worth wading out and trotting a float through the deeper water although these swims take a bit of finding. Barbel not really showing during the day. Had so many dace and chub I lost count. All barbel fell to pellet. Evening definitely the best.

River very low, bright conditions, did not suit my style of fishing. Lost one barbel whilst trotting a little run.
Nice beat needs a bit of extra water.
Salmon were jumping all over the river, they did look a little coloured so have been in a while.

Very nice stretch of water, only problem lack of pegs(partly due to very low water level) but we all managed to find a swim. Fishing was tough but managed 5 barbel to 9lbs 14oz and 5 chub, 3-4lbs. Most fish came to pellet and feeder. Very long walk and mountain track to venue.

River very low and clear, hard going in the bright sunshine but my fishing buddy managed a barbel around 7lbs and two chub around the 3lb mark. Myself, I did not have a bite, would fish it again with a bit more water and colour on.

1 Barbel, 2 Chub
