First time on this beat and very impressed. Varied, challenging water and great scenery. Lost a decent fish in Rock pool at 8am and saw another fish move in Rectory but nothing except a half pound trout caught. Looking forward to returning next Tuesday.

A water was low and clear and bright sunshine made it hard going but winkled out 3 between 7" to 10" plus the obligatory misses and escapees, all to a Klinkhammer
A few olives in the day coming off and some spinner in the evening. Picking up rocks revealed lots of immature nymphs and good numbers of fry so all seems well!

x2 4lb+ Chub and 6 Barbel, 2 low 8's, a high 7, and 3 others, one of which was a bit special. It's been a while since visiting here, and good to see the 8 foot high bankside foliage under control now with just knee-high nettles. So you can make access as you go and there are several good swims with sensibly placed wooden steps and posts, some hiiden by the nettles. Congratulations WUF on the work done. The withdrawal of the complete casino that is the top pools previously available on the beat where I've lost a fortune in feeders is no dissapointment as focus can be set to the extensive stretch of prime Middle Wye that remains. The final spot of a roving session produced just one bite, though from my 4th Wye double at 10lbs exactly, a real battler to the net and more. A fine end to an evening on a really fine beat.

Arrived at 7am on a cold clear morning. Fished Legg Meadow until midday without success and on the move when we bumped into Don. Incredibly helpful 15 minutes with Don sent us into the Wood stretch. Over a 4 hour period between 2pm and 6pm we had 8 chub to 5lb and 5 barbel to 9.5lb. What a session, all taken on pellet. Already making plans for 2013!

1'2" falling about 2" during the day. Nil caught, nil touched, nil seen.
Again blazing sunshine and low clear water. After my visit on 11th was better prepared. Fished hard where suitable for conditions.

Windy and coolish day. Fished late afternoon until about 6:30pm. Had a couple of small WBT on goldhead. Very few fish rising. Discovered Bridge Cafe at Glasbury and revived jaded spirits with dinner before driving home.

Barbel 6lbs and 7.11lbs in Legg Meadow. Lost small Chub by having line frayed by last barbel in rocks. Many thanks to Don for all his advice over our 4 days fishing. As two OAP's over 70 we found the going and the swims difficult but the Barbel fishing is superb.
