8 fish caught, a combination of Chub and Barbel with the largest Barbel being 7lb. A big Pike lives on this beat. The access road down to the fishery from the car parking area is in a poor state, park up and then a 15min walk to the beat.

River a couple of feet up and holding. 11 barbel (from 3lb to 8lb) and a couple of chub caught. All fish came from either the pool at the bottom of the beat or the well trodden peg in the middle before the line of poplars. All fish caught on halibut pellet.

Lovely day but river felt out of sorts. Two barbel, both out of the blue, both on pellet, plus a couple of chub and chublets. Fished the bottom of the stretch for first time (Usually descend from old bridge at top. Very different at bottom - steadier flow.

Started above Rock Pool and had a hen fish of about 13lb on back /gold Flying C. Single hook for easy release. Fished through Rock Pool with no result so went below bridge [Bridge Stream Fishery) and had a 10lb cock fish again releasd. Fished Scottish Dee last week for 1 fish. Grass is not always greener!

River 2.5 feet and dropping. We all fished where we did yesterday. The bottom swims produced 6 barbel and 4 chub, all average Wye size and all on pellet. The island swim produced one barbel of 7lb.
