Back again as there is so much water on Whitney you can't cover it all in a day. Pike didn't really want to play today but managed one nice double. Chub were elusive until the sun was going down and I managed a couple to just over 4lb. Rumours of this fishing changing ownership - hopefully that won't affect access. Ian was helpful as always with access and fishing advice.

Unfortunately nil fish caught. I tried everything I know to no avail. It was cold but the river appeared in good condition. I will be back to fish the Wye again in the Trout season.

River returing to 'normal' winter level after heavy rain with a nice bit of colour. Fished all day from 8.30am to 3.30pm with only one bite resulting in a good sized chub. Cracking looking stretch.

Nice, interesting looking stretch of river. River was dropping nicely after extra water and looked a good colour, although it was still running very hard. Despite trying numerous decent looking spots only managed one chub of 3lb 10oz.Must try harder next time!

Hard going on a clear and reasonably low river but 4 decent pike and a couple of late chub made for a good day all round.
