2 common carp 12lb and 15lb caught just off the island using boilies and PVA bags filled with pellets and groundbait. First time here so tried to fish a few more spots after that up towards the car park but nothing could see a few especially in the pond nearest the car park but no bites. Lovely venue well kept and peaceful.

A cold wet July day. Nymphing all day using a Duracell on point and a small orange tag on dropper, caught fish on both, 12 Grayling and 8 WBT, some a decent size. This is a great beat, good parking close to the bridge and decent access to the river. KM

Fished a few hours in the afternoon to avoid the rain, hard going used meat and pellets lost what felt like a decent Chub early into the session. Ended up with a Chub of about 2lb and one eel the owner of the house in the wooded area made myself and my mate a cracking cup of tea which was very much appreciated.

Fished an afternoon and evening session on this one as there was steady rain all morning but was drier in the afternoon. This decision did mean that we missed the opportunity to see England sneak past Switzerland on penalties but, on balance, I think that we did the right thing.
Mainly Chub caught during the afternoon on a waggler and pellet combination which was good sport. All went quiet for a while in the evening until a late burst of Barbel action made for an enjoyable finish. Chub to 4lb and Barbel to around 7lb.
