Common Carp 10lb plus, slight damage to a couple of scales on flank

My first visit to this beat. A beautiful place to spend a damp morning. Three trout to a weighted Pheasant Tail nymph.
Shared the water with a busy Kingfisher.

3 Trout

Classic combat fishing below the bridge wading up the stream through riffles and pools fallen trees overgrown trees barbed wire and flood debris.
Wouldn’t have any other way. Great day

Trout on nymph, am, feeding in fast water
Grayling (out of season) on dry small white mayfly pattern, pm, surface feeding in stream entrance running into main river flow

1 Trout, 1 Grayling

3 x brown trout all 1.5 lbs. Returned
2 x rainbow about 1.25 lbs. Returned

Lively fish all caught on bibio variants.
A good day.

Just fished for a few hours midday. River clearing now if a bit low for most catches. Another salmon blank.

Up at Llyn Idwal. Very windy and heavy rain at times. For much of the time I was barely able to cast (or even stand!). I was on my way to Holyhead, and I'd paid for the ticket, so I felt obliged to give it a go. Magnificent surroundings, and plenty of exercise for legs and casting arm. Next time I might try the River Ogwen or Llyn Ogwen, as they're all included in the ticket.

First time on this beat.lots of shad about,and not many trout. Open stretch that’s not the place to be when windy,lovely pools,a bit of everything,easy wading,no fences to get over,good access,parking enclosure is a joke tbh,would just fit in there in my discovery but would be able to get out due to fence (barbed wire ),so parked next to it,only sheep in the field so not to concern,but cows have been about,as the like to scratch on vehicles and will cause serious damage. All methods worked,euro nymphing,down and across,only missed 2 on drys,cold wind kept them down.
Enough water for 2 anglers to be busy all day,4x4 is handy as the middle to lower is best for trout fishing as you can drive half way next to river.
Would definitely return to this beat.

Started fishing 6pm after heavy cloud burst. Nevertheless steady rising fish in pools and riffles. All fish caught on dry fly adams 14 and 16
