Although i didnt catch any fish there was a few nice ones on the hook, I had a splendid time. One thing that bothers me is that everytime i come to this beautiful place i have to clean up someones rubbish. It would be good if people picked up after themselves to protest this place.

First ever trip to the River Wye. The land scape didn't disappoint. River was reasonably low with some colour and pushing through. Fished rolling meat in a few swims, caught 1 Barbel before putting out the feeder rod which resulted in zero bites. Parked at the top and walked down. Stayed at the Inn on the wye. Highly recommend it.

The track and swim access were good, despite most people opting to park at the top and walk down. The fishing however was very tough with just 1 barbel showing all day to a feeder fished pellet. In hindsight I should've tried to float fish but it felt like too much effort compared to dozing in my chair waiting to be woken by the reel. A lovely day anyway.

A great couple of hours fishing for extremely fast rising wild brown trout in a lovely setting. Managed to land four fish, all about 9 inches, and lost another four when they shed the hook. All caught on black klinkhammer or small F Fly.

First time on this beat and it looked a little coloured from rain previous day. However, carried on and glad to do so. Lovely river and surroundings. As I prefer a longer rod than suggested as I find it gives better control, used roll casts and “bow and arrow” technique to avoid the trees and bushes (most of the time!). Only saw 2 or 3 fish rising so made do with the duo. Covered approximately a third of the beat as I had to leave early.

Beautifully secluded lake with good bank access. 2 little roach and then a pristine 14lb common carp from the margin. Will definitely return.
