Started fishing at lunch and loads of chub on the float. They took everything apart from pellet. Finally got a barbel from this stretch and it was a beauty. Rolled meat to get past the chub. Great day. Incredible bit of water.

First time fishing in the rain for a long time. We arrived late and set up in between showers but the fish were not interested in our selection of baits (possibly due to the change in water temp ?). Eventually tempted a few Perch on small cubes of meat to save a blank. A well managed fishery with ropes at the top of the bank to make the slippery decent to the river safer.
We will return!

With the water temperature dropping we decided to fish while we were staying at Nature's nest, we caught early morning from just inside the gate on the third field after clearing the swim the night before, float fished in the faster water in the top field for a cracking day's fishing most fish fell to waggler and pellet and went to just under 5 pounds. Will definitely be back.

River very low but quite a few fishable swims if you are adventurous.
Fished a roving approach rolling meat, had one 7lb 8oz Barbel from the 3rd swim I tried.
Lovely place, just needs a bit of water.
