Our first visit to Fownhope 5 and was lucky to meet a local man,John, who was very helpful and pointed us in the right direction to the good spots. We decided to walk the stretch first and soon found out why Heart attack hill is called what it is! Unfortunately after our walk one of our party did not feel well so another attempt at Heart attack hill was not a good idea. A word of warning, the three of us are all in our 60s or 70s and reasonably fit but the hill loaded with tackle could have been a step too far. A nice location but in the end we did not fish but enjoyed our lunch by the riverside before heading home.

Lovely day out on the Upper Wye although river was very low and so spent most of the time just practicing and chilling! No sign of any fish although the sheep were good company!
