Started break of dawn to take advantage of cooler water (17° 6am, 18° 11am nearly 19° when finished at 1pm). Lost 4 fish(!) due to bad technique and one bad knot….
Euro nymphing fast riffles at heads of pools, some fish rising in slower glassy sections but water so low and clear they seem easily spooked. Fish are still very lively in these oxygenated areas and go bonkers in the low water (at least that’s my excuse for losing them).

Just a quick evening session for an hour or so. River was very low and clear. Fished a single wet fly (red and black nymph) through the rapids. Strong take and netted a trout of around 8 inches. The wading was slippery and the beer was calling so I decided not to fish on. Very pleasant evening

A very nice location but it’s really for fishing from a boat and not for bank fish.
Having said that I found one very nice bank location (waders required) that I would visit again if I visited the area.
A well done to the fishing association, the toilet amenities are great and the club house/boat launch area immaculately kept.
