Great water, plenty of fish moving but wind too strong and in the wrong direction to get a fly out to them. Had two on briefly and a couple of splashes but generally casting straight with the line ending up side ways was the tale of the day. Despite the blank a lovely scenic water

Beautiful day and river in good condition. Fish rising to good hatch of March browns around lunchtime but I had no luck with the dry fly. Caught 1 medium sized WBT on a copper John early on. Fish safely returned.

Fished to top of Abercynrig and the bottom of Dinas. Epic days fishing. Very stiff cold up stream breeze, fishing not rising despite a steady hatch from around midday, they did however show great interest in my fly.

All fish in the 2LB range which was remarkable, the benefits of being left alone for a year or a recent stocking ?

7 little brownies to the hand. Well over twice that spat the fly at various stages of the fight. Cold nights, clear days and low water levels made for tough conditions. All fish to weighted nymphs. None rising but moderate fly life. Second time here. Lovely beat to escape the stresses of daily life. Secluded and beautiful.

Lots of insects hatching, but few fish rising. and none caught, despite trying lots of things. I'm pretty inexperienced so maybe others do better (see other reviews from this month) despite the bright sun and low water. Lovely stretch of water and thanks to Barry the owner for taking the trouble to contact me on the day with info, suggestions and also for actively maintaining access to the river (if not the actual fish).

Great day very sunny and windy ,think we were the only ones catching , glad I took up fly fishing ???? as very little else coming out on anything but the fly ????
