We both had a great day ,Barbel feeding from the start until the sun came out in mid afternoon after which things became more difficult, most Barbel around 7-8 lbs with fish up to 8 lbs 14 oz. Looking forward to returning here in the future.

Indian summer on the river bank. Fished late afternoon & early evening & every swim produced. All the fish were in tip-top condition with hardly a scale out of place; One louse on the head of a chub (removed)! Regular swan flypasts which looked spectacular against the blue sky,they wanted to be on the wing for some reason today. Spam & pellets again but static baits were accepted with no interest in trotted baits.

Thanks once again to all concerned for our annual holiday & battery recharge.

tough day, fish not having it.....loads of tiny knock but only 2 fish between two anglers.

2 fished dawn till dusk a very slow day, started in meadow had the odd chub bite then a surprise bite after moving pegs to the End of wood peg at 14.00 resulted in 9lb barbel. 2 chub in till dusk. Didn’t fish bottom section as access limited

This was my fourth attempt to fish this beat, the first two being with very high water and heavy rain, and the last resulting in a wash-off. So it was a relief to spend a few hours on a pleasant September evening on the bank with good water conditions. The fish were obliging too, with barbel between 5 and 7 lbs and chub up to about 4 lbs. I fished the feeder with pellet and meat baits.
