rose a few, lost a couple as well - all to scruffy CDC Olives sizes 14-18 - the fish would leave the water to take the bigger flies albeit smaller fish. All in the fast water. Down stream wind cause a few issues but had some great sport. Olives and Yellow Mays coming off at times throughout, but not abundant. fished below High Force, above Low Force. so many people- many with dogs off-leash and some with drones, not the most peaceful environment to enjoy the river.

Challenging beat with access only in a handful of places along the beat, best bet is to stay in the river as much as possible. Stealth was key today with low, clear water (2025 season in a nutshell so far)
Sporadic mayfly coming off all day but fish definitely locked on the sedge flies. 5 fish hooked on an CDC & elk hair caddis landed 2. Once you’re in the river it’s a great little beat with some good fishing to be had.

It seems foot bridge at the lower limit is no more. Cloudy humid day, sun came through by early aftenoon.
I just couldn't seem to make contact with the fish where I was expecting them to be - found it tough going.
All 4 were pretty small, all on nymphs, 3 on euro 1 on duo

Very tough day, very low water, lots of people in the river. One 1 decent fish seen rising. Maybe should have gone upstream of the house bridge, but teaching a newcomer to the sport was not practical. Need rain badly now. Odd mayfly about.
