Out of a good turn out of anglers on the stated day, only 2 of them caught a fish, I myself was most disappointed to fish from 8.30am to 17.30pm with not even a bite, are the stocks up to date??

Parked at the hotel and walked down the hill to the stream. Fished upstream, lost about 5 nymphs in the trees. Very overgrown.
Then tried downstream there’s a few larger pools but nothing happening, didn’t even see a fish. It was a cold morning and the water was very clear.

It was like fishing in mid January, cold east wind, mainly cloudy,1 degree at 8.30am. A few fish mid day,but very hard going.
Watched a otter by the road bridge. At over £30 a day would have been nice to fish it in more favourable conditions ,but that's the gamble you take when booking.

River had dropped slightly quicker than had hoped although the lower sections seemed promising. All the excuses came out, wind in the East, cold wind etc but failed again! Only the one reported on entire river so doesn’t make us the only I nods I guess.
