80 chub is no exaggeration, I had 1 barbel and 60 plus chub and the other angler who was mobile had 20 and a couple of good trout, biggest trout was 2lb 1oz caught infront of the island.

Chub were rampant they took everything that was put in front of them no matter how big they attacked it. Fished the whole beat apart from the last field downstream that had caravans present. Exhausting but enjoyable day.

Why are these fish so small ? They've always been small fish up there but this is getting ridiculous. The price you are charging is not justified by the size you are putting in.

Over 40 years since I fished the Tees and at least 20 years to fish for trout.
Excellent visit, landed 3 and missed loads. I'll be back very soon as I'm getting back into fishing.

River freshened by recent rains. Overcast and muggy initially but no significant fly hatch. Fished PTN on the crease of the faster water. Heavy rain from 16:00, which stopped play!

Haven’t been to this beat in a couple of seasons and arriving to a coloured river I thought I had totally mistimed it … caught over 25 lovely trout on spiders and dries. The extra water encouraged the fish to feed on & off for most of the day.

Thank you so much for today. Had a lovely time despite the rain!! Caught 2 trout (both returned) One excellent fish just under 2lb and one about 1/2 lb. But the highlight of the day w as 2 Salmon moving in the Rectory pool!! One, a very good fish over 20lb but quite coloured came completely out of the water 3 times while I was working the pool!! Another smaller fish about 10lb much lower in the pool was showing too!!
Once again many thanks,

2 Trout
