A beautiful and tranquil stretch of the river. However, it was very disappointing in terms of the amount of swims available. The lower areas are basically impossible to fish due to there being no managed swims at all apart from two which were clearly very dangerous in the wet weather. Below those two the bank side was way too overgrown with trees/bushes to even consider creating your own swim.
Very annoying considering some of the best looking water could not be accessed.
To top that off, the barbel were playing very hard to get and we only had one between the two of us.
Will think twice before returning to this beat - I think WUF need to have a word with the riparian owners.

Plenty of swims for the size of the beat but you will need to be fit and able to make the most of them. Fish caught throughout the day but most barbel came between 3pm and 6pm. Biggest fish 7lb.

7 Barbel, 4 Chub
