2 barbel caught late on. Biggest 10lb other about 7lb
Lost a Barbel in weed earlier as well as 3 other fish,probably chub? Tried trotting fist thing but no luck + a downstream wind hindered it. Barbel caught on meat on straight lead with pva bag.
I saw what I assumed to be raw sewage coming down I the margin!! Brown foam with solid stuff on top!! Took video of it. NOT nice. Other than that a great day in wonderful surroundings.

Had a great day on this fantastic beat, tried a few new swims and most produced Chub with the Barbel feeding in a 2 hr spell in late afternoon ,Barbel were 6-8 lbs and took Pellets ,Chub up to 4.5 lbs mostly on spam

Another good day at Thomas wood river at normal level with a good colour water temp 14 degrees arrived at 11am and fished until dusk,chub were 3lb 6oz, 3lb 10oz, 4lb, 4lb, 4lb4oz, 4lb6oz, 4lb8oz, 4lb10oz, 4lb11oz and 5lb6oz the barbel weighed 5lb, 6lb2oz, 6lb9oz, 6lb11oz, 7lb4oz, 8lb8oz, 8lb14oz and 9lb4oz all fish caught on ground bait and pellet feeder with meat on the hook.
