Beat:Luggsbridge (B35)
Fishing:All Species (in season)
Caught a total of 3 chub and 2 barbel between 3 rods, one of which blanked. River looked to be in perfect condition despite carrying a few inches of extra water. Enjoyable day but very tiring exploring the full length available. Number of swims very limited, probably due to the extra water.
Directions and instruction excellant as always.

Beat:Whitehouse (River Wye)
Fishing:All Species (in season)
Torrential rain till late evening, a force 6 to 7 wind and the river going through like a train had all the ingredients of a blank. Fishing the deep water upstream of the hut; finding small areas of slack water and using swimfeeders (3 and 4 ounce weight required); laying close in to the bank (couldn't do anything else really); saw us catch eleven barbel to nearly nine pounds and four chub all about four. Hallibut pellets accounted for most but sweetcorn and stiff groundbait paste caught several too.
Bearing in mind the conditions we felt we had not done too badly.

Blank day - Water level very high from all the rain.

Excellent on-line booking system, very convenient.
