Fished the top section for a change parking at knill Bridge and walking back downstream a few hundred yards.
Water low and clear as expected but a warm afternoon so I was hoping to see a few more flies and some rising fish.
A few flies were hatching but nothing rising so fished nymphs.
I found I had to go quite heavy to find the fish but once I did caught 4 in the deeper pools.

Beautiful bright and windy day. A few fish rising between 12noon and 1pm. Most fish caught on GHPTN and three on march brown dries. All trout small up to 8”. Enjoyable day in a lovely setting.

No luck today but I was out for leisure today and any catch would have been a bonus. Started later in the day and other than a nibble nothing moved all day. Reservoir was full and fish were running deep. Fishing with a slow sinking fly line and tried several flies
