Another tricky day. Lucky stones was up about two feet and rising making it tricky to cast and strike.

Busy day, plenty of perch caught but only one trout. Windy and wet at times. An enjoyable day.

Fished the evening rise. Only fished top section of fishery till dark. 7 trout and several lost.

Very nice beat, albeit it on low water. Access gate might be easier to locate if signed ?
Best fish was 2.5lb Brownie

Warm and overcast with occasional clear hot spells, nice flow with tinge of colour. On the face of it, it fished well but most fish from one swim on anything tried. 6 other swims fished for a few Chub with everything tried, although two barbel lost. The two barbel came to 10mm halibuts one on a hemp feeder, one on a gb feeder. Barbel were jumping up the top but not feeding. A tree is down in one of the better swims which was disappointing but can't be helped, big job to sort by the look. Kingfishers, kites and egrets were a bonus.
