River level was average, the water was slightly coloured, one 13” trout from the wall pool in Ynystawe on a mepps 1 silver spinner, catch and release.

1st fish on olive nymph, other 4 on mixture of green and white small mayfly patterns

Fished Klink and dink most of the day searching likely water. Fished a small olive klinkhammer with a size 14PTN both took fish throughout the day.

Decent conditions. Water level dropping according to a local we spoke to and fairly clear. Lots of fly activity and some mayfly hatches. Nothing rising. All caught French nymphing with two nice sized grayling in the net. Very pleasant day.

Fished from late afternoon into the evening the sport was tremendous plenty of fish moving and a constant trickle of fly on the water all fish came to dry olive patterns only one smalley caught everything else was good size with two fish pushing two pounds .

river fining down but levels still higher than summer normal. Fished dry fly, or duo all day. Fishing very difficult and few rising fish even though there were good hatches in the afternoon.
