I didn't arrive until after lunch. Strong downstream breeze, so down and across used pretty much all day. Huge numbers of small 6" suicidal trout which became a nuisance after a while, but very encouraging for the future! Changing up to size 10's seemed to put most, but not all of them off. Most fish caught in faster water on heavy nymphs including 7 grayling all 1 to 1.5lb. Nice big chub caught under the bridge around 5lb, a good fight in the flow and put a good bend in my 5wt rod. As evening approached the wind did die down and there were a few small fish rising but nothing really interested in the dry. Great day!

Downstream wind made conditions difficult and limited fish to rising only very occasionally. A couple of decent Grayling up to around 1.75lb and a few smaller. A few trout up to around 0.75lb and numerous salmon parr. Grayling very spread out and not shoaled up. Kept on thinking when I hooked one I would be into a few more, but no, only one every so often. Maybe a bit of frost in a few weeks.

Another great day on the Wye all fish taken on feeder fished pellet, largest fish 10lb with four more to 9lb. Quite a long walk from the new parking area. River was very low & not many swims on this beat however Stan was very helpful & directed us to the deeper water where we found the fish.
