Very disappointing day. Contrary to advice following heavy rain a few days before, the river was very low and absolutely no chance of a salmon being in there. But it was a very beautiful spot and a great place for a picnic, so will return to try again.

Great looking bit of river but struggled to find fish. One 4lb chub after putting baits in countless fishy looking spots. May try again in winter.

Hot day, arrived around 1pm to find a very, very overgrown beat, walked the whole length looking for a place where 2 of us could fish together as my partner is not very experienced. Sadly there weren't any. Most pegs that were accessible could take one angler with a bit of kit. I am not averse to jungle fishing but on this day really couldn't be bothered getting the machete out. River was low and almost stagnant at the bottom end.
The people we observed fishing on the other bank were happily casting to within a few meters of the WUF bank, not the first time I've seen this here.

1st time on this beat and it won't be the last, very well maintained in stunning surroundings. The fishing was very good with chub biting instantly. There must be some huge shoals of chub as we struggled to get to the barbel through them but with the river very clear and low it was good to have constant sport through the day, it was also my sons 1st time on a Foundation beat and he left a very happy young man! Thanks to all at the W.U.F.

The river was very low. Very difficult to fish because the fish were easily spooked.

I fished as a guest of the new owner Dai Gingell for a couple of hours and I was immensely impressed with the 'fishiness' of the water. I only fished sporadically but had two trout. The first was certainly a pound plus and put up a heck of a fight on my #4 rod. I rather assumed this was exceptional but my next fish was even bigger and could have made a pound and a half and took line from my reel as it went up and down the pool. Dai followed this up with a fish on a small nymph which like my brace gave a very good account of itself. Stunningly pretty water and great fishing.

One trout caught on size 16 olive para adams, missed a couple of other takes, no sign of rising fish apart from those that took my fly.
River was very difficult to fish due to low overhanging branches and fallen tree's on nearly every decent pool.

Nice day out a couple of 40+ grayling and 30+ trout.
A few sedges and the odd olive made an appearance but fish appeared reluctant to rise, expected a little better as flows colour and weather perect.
