Arrived at the river which seemed a nice height but was the colour of drinking chocolate! Washed off and will return another time.

Caught 4 barbel, all on pellet.
Foundation's service was very helpful and efficient.

Salmon seen but unfortunately none caught.

9 barbel between us, biggest 8lb. River up and pushing. All caught on spicy pellets upstream of the hut. Don't leave the track in the wet weather as you can get the car stuck!!

12lbs silver cock fish from Llyn Em Pool on 3/4" tube best described as a Stoats Tail with attitude. (One of KT's specials). Very little black hair with added flash - when you think you have enough sparkle, double the quantity and double it again ! Brief contact with another fish in Middle Caban.

Update on Nyth and Ty'r Celyn fishing.
June 26...Caught salmon 12lb, 10lb, 12lb. Lost 2.
June 27...Caught salmon 8lb.
June 28... Caught salmon 14lb. Lost 1.

9lbs salmon on fc with single hook, very easy to release, time to ban trebles?

Arrived at 7.00 a.m. River 0.9m on gauge carrying some colour but very fishable. Spectacular thunderstorm at 8.30am leaving river a chocolate mess and 5cm higher. Fished till lunchtime without a sign, then home for a drink in the sun and the footie.'till next time.

An earlier call at the Garren resulted in a change of plan. It was the colour of hot chocolate! This little brook proved to be a really interesting alternative. I enjoyed a couple of hours good, challenging sport and was thankful I'd packed my 5 foot rod. No sign of fish on the surface. Three beautiful small trout (5"-6") came to a weighted GRHE.

17 trout and grayling taken, 6 of which were up to 2lbs in weight. Not much surface activity, mainly caught on bug patterns.
