Nil. Strong downstream wind made it difficult to cast and control line. Then persistent rain added to the misery so I surrendered late morning and moved on to Hergest,Edw.

4 x trout.Returned. Grey wulf. PM only. Much more sheltered than Lyepole but rain was still around. A short mayfly hatch prompted activity between showers.

A cold wet day with a very low river. Brown algae coated the bed making for slippery wading. Few fish seen and I blanked.
Fished the following day that started with similar weather That cleared into beautiful sunshine. Caught one decent fish on nymph, again very limited surface activity. Lovely surroundings.

An enjoyable day on the dries. Could not use nymph or wets because the shad would not leave them alone! All sorts of flies on the water, olives, mayfly, sedges terrestials, never quite sure what the trout were taking at any one time.
Spent some time watching the lampreys move some quite large stones to make their nest. Nature is amazing.

A drizzly and cold day. Some sporadic spinner rises but fishing difficult. Caught half a dozen tiddlers and parrs. Some decent fish moving about but very skittish and in difficult to access part of river.

Lovely beat, had 4 wbt to one rod and one to the other - all on s16 copperhead nymphs all around 10". Plenty of fly about but fish not really rising. Rose a couple on elk hair sedge later on but did not connect.

6 trout caught up to about 8 inches. 5 Taken on beadhead GRHE and the other on a mayfly imitation. Not many fish rising but a mayfly hatch in the afternoon brought a few up. Cloudier and slightly less humid than early in the week.

Bight sunny day, fair bit of fly life on the water but very few risers. Fished the afternoon to early evening for 3 fish around the 6-8" mark. Lovely spot.
