This beat is always well looked after and not far to walk. Plenty of fish taken in the evening after a very hot day, pellets again in the deeper water. A very good day, always plenty of places to fish, thanks.

Only 1 barbel and 1 chub on what proved to be a difficult day which we put down to the low river and hot sunny weather.

Very hard conditions, steaming hot and low river combined.
We only caught 1 barbel and 1 chub. But the Barbel weighed 9 pound and was in mint condition. Still a very enjoyable day.

Awesome setting, easy directions and access. Saw a complaint about the track being overgrown, I'm shaking my head. Plenty of barbel caught through the day. Thank you.

Very poor access to the beat limits its potential. River was low and fish taken to pellet and feeder.

Another scorcher, started midday after a 17hr day before. BB had 6 Barbel to 8lb at end of fishery above ranunculus beds and 3 chub. I moved around and finally caught 2 barbel to 6lb and 2 chub just below the stile once the sun was off the water. Many thanks to Colin once again for his local knowledge and company and also for keeping the fishery in such good condition.
Shame about the Saga coach party in about a dozen canoes who took about 15 minutes to pass through the swim mid afternoon. Need to learn a little etiquette.
A brilliant stretch, will return next year if not before.

River low and clear but in one swim fish fed all day with 15 barbel landed. The other 3 guys all blanked despite trying various swims and methods.

Water low and clear. Fished lower pools and caught all barbel on groundbait feeder and pellet. Chub caught on float fished corn. Caught most fish in evening. Not too many canoes. Also, must thank Don for putting us on the fish.
